Planning action group (PAG)

CCRA’s Planning Action Group (PAG) is a team of eight volunteer planning enthusiasts who monitor and respond to planning matters of local interest. The group considers planning applications that may affect our area and, where appropriate, makes representations to the Council on behalf of the community.

What PAG Does
A member of the group reviews the Royal Borough of Greenwich Planning Portal each week to identify new applications. The group meets monthly and also engages regularly with the Royal Borough of Greenwich to discuss planning issues.

PAG sends email alerts to residents who have expressed an interest in local developments. These alerts provide information about new applications and explain how residents can submit their own comments to the Council. The group does not tell residents what view to take, but aims to ensure people are informed and able to respond if they wish.

Our Approach
CCRA is not anti-development. We recognise that change is part of the area’s future. However, we are keen to ensure that significant developments—particularly larger “major” schemes that may affect future generations—are well designed, carefully considered, and subject to proper consultation with residents.

Planning applications can often be detailed and complex, and residents usually have 21 days to submit comments to the Council. PAG helps the community stay aware of what is happening locally and how to engage with the process.
