Alongside many other streets throughout the CCRA area, Delafield Road remembered VE Day.
Whilst it wasn’t the party the street had planned, nevertheless neighbours were able to get together. With social distancing, they had tea parties in their front gardens to commemorate this important event.
There was a very special reason to celebrate in Delafield, as one of their residents had just marked her 100th birthday. Neighbours were able to sing happy birthday to Laura Miller, who enjoyed the sunshine along with her daughter Geraldine and son-in-law David.
The street is looking forward to the end of lockdown when they can throw a proper party.
