Our annual Flower & Produce Show has been ‘furloughed’ till 2021. However, that doesn’t mean that we can’t have a community event that will retain the spirit of F&P and massively enhance our community.

This year, mindful of the ‘Britain in Bloom’ movement, we are holding

THE GREAT FRONT GARDEN CHALLENGE.

By improving our front gardens we can improve our whole area

How will it work? – Every front garden in the CCRA area will be entered

When will it take place? – judging will be on Saturday 22nd August from 1.00 pm

Who will judge? – The Blackheath and Greenwich Women’s Institute

The judging categories? – i) Best Window Box, ii) Best Floral Display, iii) Best Greenery, iv) Best Tubs/hanging baskets, v) Best use of space + Best in Street and Best in Show

NB we will not trespass on your property – all judging will be from the street

What will I win? – Certificates, vouchers and plants from Alan’s Plants, 76 Woolwich Road

How can I win?  – It’s simple, just cut back your hedges, tidy your borders and get your front garden looking tip top
