Community Safety Action Group (CSAG)

About the Group
The Community Safety Action Group (CSAG) works to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the CCRA area. The group provides a forum where residents can raise concerns about law and order and discuss issues affecting the neighbourhood.

What CSAG Does
CSAG works closely with Charlton Central Neighbourhood Watch (CCNW) and our local Safer Neighbourhood Ward Panel. The group establishes links with key local agencies, including the Council, Police, and local Housing Associations, to address concerns raised by residents and to seek practical solutions.

CSAG is represented at meetings of the Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) Panel, where local policing priorities are discussed and agreed. Through this involvement, the group helps ensure that residents’ concerns are heard and reflected in local policing activity.

Working with Neighbourhood Watch
CSAG supports the work of Charlton Central Neighbourhood Watch, which aims to improve communication between residents and the police. CCNW issues regular updates on crime in the area and sends out “Instant Alerts” to help safeguard residents. Membership of the Watch is free and helps keep residents informed about local issues. Our Aim
CSAG is committed to improving safety and reassurance within the CCRA area, helping to ensure that Charlton remains a safe and welcoming place to live.
