CCRA OFFICERS
I’ve lived in Charlton since 2012 and joined CCRA because I wanted to get to know my neighbours. I’m a civil servant in the Home Office, and I take a particular interest in community safety, being a street co-ordinator for our local Neighbourhood Watch and Vice-Chair of Greenwich Neighbourhood Watch. It was a great privilege to be elected Chair of CCRA in January 2021, and I am really looking forward to getting out and meeting our members and residents in person as lockdown eases up.
Vice Chair: Annie Galloway
I’ve lived in Charlton for 24 years and raised our family here. I’m a retired teacher for children with Special Needs. I helped to found the CCRA and have seen the difference it has made in bringing our community together. I have been Co-Chair of the Management Committee and also the Community Safety Awareness Group and Neighbourhood Watch. I look forward to seeing everybody.
Although I’ve lived in Charlton for over 30 years I only joined CCRA in 2017, after I retired. I’m very interested in local planning issues, as well as our community activities. I wish I’d joined sooner as I’ve got to know so many great people. However it can make popping to the local shops a lot slower as I frequently bump into someone I know and stop for a chat.

I am a semi-retired academic researcher who, with my family, has lived in the CCRA area (Delafield Road) for over 30 years. I attended the inaugural meeting of CCRA and have been a staunch supporter ever since. I am particularly passionate about community safety and was involved in setting up the CCRA Neighbourhood Watch. I think ‘Charlton really is a village within a city and a wonderful community, please get involved with your Association and continue to make Charlton a safe and friendly place to live’.
